Hugh Darley. Founder, President + Executive Producer
Vision Planner, Innovator, Designer, Conceptual Developer, Strategic Planner, Hugh Darley has 25 year career as an award-winning international design associate with superior creative skills, highly tuned leadership capabilities, and a solid acumen in international business.
The Walt Disney Company. As a member of Walt Disney Imagineering (Disney's WED Enterprises) Hugh was instrumental in the development of the final build-out of the World Showcase in EPCOT Center. Later, Hugh was tapped to apply his creative skills as Art Director for the original Disneyland Park in California.
Imaginative Technologies (ITEC). In 1986, Hugh began his entrepreneurial career and co-founded his own creative shop, Imaginative Technologies. ITEC provided "Imagineering-type" services to the new and rapidly growing world-wide Family Entertainment market. While serving as President of ITEC Productions, Hugh also co-founded Entertainment Properties Inc. in 1992, to design and joint venture development opportunities. ITEC's client roster included some of the biggest brands in the world including the Hilton Nevada Corporation, Mirage Resorts, The Biltmore Estate, The Boston World Trade Center, NASCAR, and Caribbean Restaurant Partners.
Paramount Parks. Further expanding his creative and leadership portfolio, Hugh served in several executive level positions with Paramount Parks between 1993 and 1995, including assuming the duties of Executive vice President during the acquisition by Paramount Pictures and the subsequent merger with Viacom and Blockbuster Entertainment. Hugh was responsible for Paramount Park Corporate systems' development, including the implementation of a five year plan for all five North American parks, and the integration of all of the Intellectual Properties of Viacom's family of brands, including MTV, Nickelodeon and Blockbuster Entertainment, and Paramount Pictures Properties. This experience placed Hugh within the largest mergers in the Family Entertainment industry and led to his role as Creator and Executive Producer of "Star Trek: The Experience" with the Las Vegas Hilton.
Rob Coles. Design Director + MD IDEA UK
As Design Director of IDEA's UK office, Robert brings a wealth of experience to the IDEA team as a project director, operations director, design consultant, and business and financial manager. His global experience extends throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, India, and the Caribbean.
For over 15 years, Robert has used his previous owner/ operator experience in the entertainment and hospitality spheres to benefit IDEA projects worldwide. This has given him a deep understanding of what is required to make a project both a fulfilling experience for the guest and a profitable one for the client.
Shari Schroder. Project Director
With a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and 25 years experience in Business Development and Project Management, Shari Schroder has spearheaded projects for American National Bank, the Omaha Civic Auditorium, KVI Commercial Real Estate Developers, Simon Property Group, Adam’s Mark Hotel Corporation, Warner Bros Studios Facilities and 20th C Fox. She brings the highest attention to detail, time and resource management, budget management and team coordination you will ever find. With a reputation as ‘spark’ of a team and ‘hitting the ground running’, Shari has introduced the various companies of her employment to new markets exposing her to the fields of construction, art direction, interior design, building management, themed entertainment and building and property restoration. She demonstrates the highest degree of professionalism, a strong work ethic, superior organizational, follow-through and communications skills and is dependable, proactive and prompt. While multi-tasking, she stays focused on the big picture while addressing daily issues with a smile!
As Project Director, Shari is responsible for the overall coordination of individual tasks of the team members in meeting the client’s needs during the pre-construction phase of the project; overseeing all design and planning elements where IDEA, Inc. has been contracted to provide said services.
Tetsuro Hoshino. Project Director Asia. IDEA Tokyo
AN experienced project manager and landscape planner, Tetsuro has spent over 30 years working in the realm of Entertainment Design across Asia. Based in Tokyo, he leads IDEA projects in the region.
